China wins 2015 FIBA Asia Championship

China beats the Philippine team in the recently concluded FIBA Asia Championship held on Changsha, China on October 3, 2015. With 78-67 scores, China became the gold placer which makes them eligible for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janiero, Brazil.

During the first 5 minutes of the game, Gilas Pilipinas, the Philippines' official basketball team, scored fast behind China with 15-10 scores but was overtaken by the Chinese team in the succeeding minutes until the fourth quarter.

The Philippines, however, is eligible to play in the 2016 Olympics as the top three placers would be able to play in Rio based on FIBA rules.

FIBA is the International Basketball Federation which is the world governing body for basketball.
