GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

1. A citizen of the Philippines;
2. A person of good moral character;
3. Must have passed the psychiatric/psychological, drug and physical tests.
4. Must possess a formal baccalaureate degree from a recognized learning institution;
5. Must possess any of the following eligibilities;
  • PNP Entrance (NAPOLCOM)
  • RA No. 1080 (Civil Service Examination)
  • PD No. 907 (College Honor Students - cum laude, magna cum laude, and summa cum laude)
  • (For Lateral Entrants), RA No. 1080 (Board and Bar Examinations)
6. Must not have been dishonorably discharged from the military employment or dismissed for cause from any civilian position  in the government;
7. Must not have been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude;
8. Must be at least one meter and sixty-two centimeters (1.62m) in height for male and one meter and fifty-seven centimeters (1.57m);
9. Must weigh not more or less than five kilograms (5 kgs) from the standard weight corresponding to one’s height, age,    and sex;
10. Must not be less than twenty-one (21) nor more than thirty (30) years of age


Preferred applicant

· Skilled in driving ( with Professional or Non Professional Driver License)
· Can operate computer using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet Surfing

The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) announced that it will conduct police examination for those who aspire to enter the Philippine National Police (PNP) this year.

The PNP Entrance Examination is open to all Filipino residents who meet the age, height, and educational requirements.

1. Civil Service Personal Data Sheet (PDS) Revised 2005
2. NSO Birth Certificate (Authenticated by NSO)
3. Transcript of Records and Diploma
4. Certificate of Eligibility and Board Rating
5. Local Clearances:
  • Barangay Clearance
  • Police Clearance
  • NBI Clearance
  • Mayor’s Clearance
  • Prosecutor’s Clearance
  • MTC and RTC Clearance
  • (For Lateral entrants) additional clearance for previous government-employed applicants specifically Ombudsman clearance and for PNP in-service applicants; PLEB and DIDM clearance is needed .
6. Two copies of 2x2 colored white background picture and 1 whole body picture
7. Two (2) valid identification cards
8. Certificate of Good Moral Character (issued by College/University)


Application and Hiring Process

  • Step 1—Pre-assessment

  2. Submit the accomplished Application Form to any of the PNP Recruitment Office near you [view our contacts] thru Fax,  E-mail or Postal Mail in the following address:
  3. Wait for advise
  • Step 2—Initial Evaluation
  • You will be notified that you passed the Pre-assessment and you will be required to submit the necessary documents [Click to download list of documentary requirements]. Submit these documents to the nearest Recruitment Officer stationed in the Police Regional Office Headquarters for Initial Evaluation.
  • Step 3—Psychological/ Psychiatric Examination (PPE)
  • Psychological Evaluation consists of an individual oral interview and evaluation of        behavior especially even under stress which are commonly related to the job of a police officer.  The evaluated information includes the written psychological tests as well as the background findings. After this step, passer may undergo drug test.
  • Step 4—Physical/Medical/Dental Examination (PMDE)
  • The medical evaluation is comprehensive thus, it is essential that an applicant is in good shape. After this step, passer may undergo drug test.
  • Step 5—Complete Background Investigation (CBI)
  • This investigation includes employment, police, financial, education, and military background as well as interview with family members, neighbors, supervisors, co-workers, friends and connections with dubious people.
  • Step 6—Physical Agility Test (PAT)
  • This test is  given to determine whether an applicant possess the required coordination,  strength and speed of movement necessary in the police service. Passing the PAT only indicates the minimum physical ability required to undertake the police training.  After this step, passer may undergo drug test.
  • Step 7—Final Committee Interview (FCI)
  • The FCI shall determine the applicant’s aptitude to join the police service.
    These are the final steps on the selection process. To be considered for hiring, you must have successfully completed all steps in the selection process.
