All information regarding LANI Scholarships are taken from the official website of Taguig City Government and from the Scholarship Secretariat Official Facebook Page. These information are updated as of October 31, 2015.

Acceptance of Applications/Renewals of Scholarships  for the SECOND SEMESTER,  A.Y. 2015-2016

Schedule: November 3, 2015 (Tuesday) until November 10, 2015 (Tuesday)
Time: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

Venue: Cayetano Science High School (Pamayanang Diego Silang in BCDA C5)

Here's the announcement from the official Facebook page of Scholarship Secretariat which I quote in toto: 
"Upon the request of their school officials, RENEWING scholars (upper years) from TUP and PUP (Taguig & Manila campuses) will ONLY be entertained from Aug 24 to 28, 2015. UP and other schools with new school calendars may also apply on the said date. However, ALL INCOMING FIRST YEARS (or fresh high school graduates), who already have complete application requirements may already apply as early as May 4 (including those enrolling for the first time in UP, TUP, & PUP).
Application will be from 9AM to 4PM, at the Senator Renato "Companero" Cayetano Memorial Science & Technology High School Auditorium, Pamayanang Diego Silang, Brgy. Ususan, Taguig City. The application forms and briefer may be downloaded at http://www.taguig.gov.ph."

Basic Qualification Criteria for ALL the scholarship types:

  1. Bona fide resident of Taguig for at least 3 years, a registered voter of the city if 18 years or older, and with at least one of the parents, also a registered voter of the city.
  2. Of good moral character both in paper and in deeds.
  3. Determined to finish the course or pass the board/bar examination.
  4. Committed to love and serve the City of Taguig.

APPLICATION DEADLINES this term/semester:

1. For Tech-voc & College Students: Jan. 17, 2014 (Fri)
2. For Graduate Students (MA/PhD students): Jan. 29, 2014 (Wed)
3. For Board/Bar Review: You must have filed your complete application plus attachments BEFORE you take your Board or Bar Exam -- that is your only deadline. 

POLICY CLARIFICATION ON WHO AND WHO CANNOT QUALIFY

New or First Time Applicants:

N-1). Must have at least ONE of his/her parents as registered voter of the City.

N-2). Must be a registered voter himself/herself, if 18 year old or older. A promissory note to do so, may be accepted just for this semester.

N-3). If NONE of the parents of the applicant are voters of the City, the voter’s certification of the guardian, who must be bona fide Taguig resident and is a relative within the third degree of consanguinity (blood relatives up to kuya/ate, lola/lolo & tito/tita only), may be accepted, PROVIDED, that the applicant graduated high school in any of the schools within the City of Taguig.

Renewing Applicants

R-1). Rules N-1, N-2, and N- 3 for New or First Time applicants (shown above) ALSO APPLY to renewing applicants.

R-2). HOWEVER, should a renewing applicant fail in Rule N-1, and also fails in Rule N-3 because he/she is NOT a graduate of any high school in Taguig, but passes ALL other criteria like having a guardian that is a relative within the third degree of consanguinity (blood relatives up to kuya/ate, lola/lolo & tito/tita only) and who is also a registered voter of Taguig, the application may be accepted.

R-3). Also, if an applicant fails Rule N-3, but is a registered voter of the City, and is a graduating student within THIS term/semester, then the application may also be accepted.

This clarification is being issued to guide NEW and RENEWING applicants, and to help ensure that only those that are truly deserving, get to benefit from the Program.


L.A.N.I. SCHOLARSHIP QUALIFICATIONS 
7 REQUIREMENTS
(Effective 2nd Semester SY 2013-14)


WHO MAY APPLY FOR BASIC, SUC/LCU OR BASIC+ SCHOLARSHIP?

1. BONA FIDE RESIDENT, AND A REGISTERED VOTER OF THE CITY IF 18 YEARS OR OLDER, AND WITH AT LEAST ONE OF THE PARENTS, ALSO A REGISTERED VOTER OF THE CITY.
2. OF GOOD MORAL CHARACTER BOTH IN PAPER AND IN DEEDS.
3. DETERMINED TO FINISH THE COURSE.
4. COMMITTED TO LOVE AND SERVE TAGUIG CITY.
5. IF APPLYING FOR BASIC SCHOLARSHIP, APPLICANT MUST BE A GRADUATE OF ANY PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL IN TAGUIG OR NEARBY MUNICIPALITY OR CITY WITHIN NCR.
6. IF APPLYING FOR SUC/LCU SCHOLARSHIP, MUST BE ENROLLED OR ENROLLING IN ANY SUC/LCU WITHIN THE NCR.
7. IF APPLYING FOR BASIC+SUC/LCU SCHOLARSHIP, MUST SATISFY BOTH #5 AND #6.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED?

1. FILLED-UP APPLICATION FORM WITH 2X2 ID PICTURES ( 2 COPIES). USE THE REVISED UPDATED FORM

2. SCHOOL ASSESSMENT OR ENROLLMENT FORM FOR THE CURRENT SEMESTER/TERM.

3. HIGH SCHOOL CARD (FOR FRESHMEN)/ ANY PROOF OF HAVING GRADUATED FROM PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL (DIPLOMA/CERTIFICATION)

4. VOTER'S CERTIFICATION ISSUED BY COMELEC SHOWING THAT APPLICANT (IF 18 YEARS OLD OR ABOVE) IS A REGISTERED VOTER OF THE CITY

5. LATEST COPY OF CERTIFICATE OF GOOD MORAL CHARACTER (MUST BE ISSUED WITHIN THE SCHOOL YEAR)

6. AUTHENTICATED COPY OF GRADES LAST SEMESTER- SIGNED BY THE REGISTRAR. FOR THOSE UNDER TRIMESTER PERIOD, GRADES FOR THE LAST 2 TERMS.

7. VALID SCHOOL I.D. BACK TO BACK (PHOTOCOPY).

8. SCHOLARSHIP VOUCHER, IF GRADUATE OF ANY TAGUIG PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL.
