I. APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

  1. Senior high school student expecting to graduate in 2018 from a DepEd-accredited high school or an accredited secondary school abroad; OR
  2. Graduate of a DepEd- accredited high school or accredited secondary school abroad; OR
  3. PEPT Certified Eligible for college; AND
  4. With final grades for three (3) high school years preceding the year of graduation; AND
  5. Must not have taken any college subject/s prior to taking the UPCAT; AND
  6. Must not have taken the UPCAT previously.

    Two long weekends are expected for the month of August 2017 as per Proclamation No. 50, series of 2016 signed by Pres. Rodrigo Duterte last August 16, 2016. 

    August 21 (Monday) - Ninoy Aquino Day - Special holiday
    August 28 (Monday) - National Heroes Day - Regular holiday

    Ninoy Aquino Day was created by virtue of Republic Act 9256 which was signed into law by Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on February 25, 2004. The holiday is a commemoration of the assassination of former Senator of the Philippines, Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino, Jr., the father of the then Pres. Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III. Ninoy was a staunch critic of former Pres. Ferdinand Marcos during martial law years.

    National Heroes Day was also signed into law by Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on July 25, 2007 known as Republic Act 9492. The holiday commemorates the heroic deeds of Filipino heroes. 

    Special and regular holidays in the Philippines are non-working days and classes in all levels are cancelled.
