Filipinos are not savages

No matter how I want to get rid of bad elements in our society, it is totally unacceptable for the state to use its power without restraint against powerless and defenseless individuals. We are fast becoming beasts we abhor. It makes me feel sick to my stomach.

WE ARE NOT SAVAGES.

China wins 2015 FIBA Asia Championship

China beats the Philippine team in the recently concluded FIBA Asia Championship held on Changsha, China on October 3, 2015. With 78-67 scores, China became the gold placer which makes them eligible for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janiero, Brazil.

During the first 5 minutes of the game, Gilas Pilipinas, the Philippines' official basketball team, scored fast behind China with 15-10 scores but was overtaken by the Chinese team in the succeeding minutes until the fourth quarter.

The Philippines, however, is eligible to play in the 2016 Olympics as the top three placers would be able to play in Rio based on FIBA rules.

FIBA is the International Basketball Federation which is the world governing body for basketball. 

Philippines may soon be natural gas exporter because of Benham Rise

Wow! I have read an article tonight in Yahoo! News about the so-called Benham Rise, an underground sea region off the coast of Aurora and Isabela provinces in the northern Luzon. If the United Nations approves the claim of the Philippines, an additional 13 million hectares will be added to the present 30 million hectares that defined our national territory.

According to government authorities, this particular area is rich in natural gas resources which could make our country an exporter of natural gas in the future!

Go for the gold, Philippines! Back off, China! Back off from Spratlys! 

PS: The Philippines is the ONLY CLAIMANT of the area. I pray that God will soon prosper our country through this Benham Rise.

Pray Fervently for the Philippines

PRAY FERVENTLY FOR THE PHILIPPINES

• Let us pray and humble ourselves and turn from our wicked ways to seek God’s mercy for the healing of our land and the Filipino people.

• Let us pray that this Christmas season we will see and know the Lord Jesus as our Savior, Redeemer, Wonderful Counselor, Healer, Comforter, Prince of Peace and Mighty God.

• Let us pray for God’s divine intervention and justice for the 57 people massacred in Maguindanao, Mindanao. Let us pray that the case will not be tainted by political agenda but the truth will prevail and Department of Justice will immediately act on it.

• Let us pray that our powerful God will expose every evil plan for the preparation of 2010 election. Let us disarm Satan’s control over politics and the politicians and release the great fear of God to rule over them and this nation.

• Let us pray for the Commission on Elections commissioners to remain honest and serve the country with the fear of the Lord. May the truth prevail for God’s Glory.

• Let us thank the Lord for “He is mighty to save” the Philippines!
