The Philippine Flag in an inverted position in Office of the President website
The Philippine National Flag in the inverted position was mistakenly uploaded in the Office of the President's website which indicates that our country is at war. This is another BLASPHEMOUS ACT against the Philippine Flag which is revered as one of the most heraldic items signifying the Filipino nation.
As for me, President Aquino should FIRE those employees who are responsible for this. This cannot be tolerated. The photo above was a screenshot from GMA News.
According to Republic Act No. 8491, Section 10:
SECTION 10. The flag, if flown from a flagpole, shall have its blue field on top in time of peace and the red field on top in time of war; if in a hanging position, the blue field shall be to the right (left of the observer) in time of peace, and the red field to the right (left of the observer) in time of war.Since the establishment of the First Philippine Republic, the Philippine flag has been inverted for THREE TIMES: during the 1896 Revolution, World War II, and 1986 Edsa Revolution.
This is the second time where our national flag was displayed in a wrong way. The FIRST TIME was when it was mistakenly flown in a pole on September 27, 2010 when President Aquino met with President Obama in New York City.
