Jesus Is Lord (JIL) Spiritual Leader Bro. Eddie Villanueva has chosen to field-in former Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) Governor Nur Misuari to run for Governor in Sulu in order to address the lingering problem of peace and order in Mindanao under the banner of Bangon Pilipinas Party. The Born-Again leader and standard bearer of the party, Villanueva, has filed his Certificate of Candidacy (CoC) with Perfecto Yasay, former Securities and Exchange Commision (SEC) Chairman, as his Vice Presidential running mate.
Misuari pointed out that his alliance with Villanueva is the key towards a lasting peace in the region where the conflict among Muslims and Christians has remained unresolved for centuries. Seeing Bro. Eddie’s earnestness of purpose and being a true person of faith, the need for “Righteous Governance” can now be fully achieved.
It will be remembered that Villaneva ran for President in 2004 and lost to President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. This time though,Villanueva said that they are prepared with enough volunteers and resources for the coming election. He added that they are banking on the support of his fellow JIL church members and barangay officials. Unknown to many, Bangon Pilipinas has been silently preparing for this coming poll since two years ago.
For their senatorial line-up BPP has endorsed news journalists Kata Inocencio and Alex Tinsay among others. They are boasting on their dream team of Senatoriables whom they refer as “Magnificent Seven” and each represents the various sectors of our society.
